Just got Porsche call, need to recall for DMECU?

What the hXll is this?

Strange

You would usually expect a letter from Porsche explaining what the recall was for and what it entailed to fix it. Who called you, your P dealer ? Why wouldn't they explain to you what the reason for the recall was ?

Hk is a bit different from USA, I never receive any letter from them.

The DMECU is for re-program the computer for the starter

I have never read anything about any ECU recalls

It is the starter control unit need re-program.

My '11RS was at the dealer (Hennessy) last week for an exhaust swap and this campaign (DME update) showed up. Service advisor said it was for an occasional display of zero oil pressure at start up (I never had this and apparantly very rare but if this did happen to you..yikes). No biggie, reflashed and done in a few minutes.
