.2 GT3 Front OEM Spoiler...
I'm impressed! Somebody's favorite post
. I "x'd" it out after a 100 views and no response. I thought I must have asked a really stupid question...

Don't worry. Crawl under the car and check it out. If it's the same as the .1's then it slips into place and has a few screws holding it in. It's pretty self explanatory once you look at it.
If you damaged it and want to know how to fix it to stay in place, well, you'll have to fabricate something, which should still be pretty simple.
Post up your fix if you do so.

Hi "RAudiDriver"! You must have had an Audi at some time...
I have an '01 allroad with 45k miles for my snow trips to the Sierra's but would love an umolested '01 S4 manual
.
Anyway, the outer attachment screw on the right side of the lip spoiler is in crooked, loose and about to come out. I found that when I crawled underneath checking the car after a track day. The screw not only holds the spoiler but also the little vertical "slats/flaps' that the 997's have on each side (GT3 and otherwise). When I tried to fasten it it wouldn't bite and my question WAS (and still IS) whether there's a NUT PLATE behind the under body bumper panel and if so, how do you "realign" it with the body panel hole? If not, and the hole is "worn" then I guess it's time to "invent" a fix like you suggested. Since any GT3 or Carrera S driver has that same spoiler I thought when I first posted that someone must have faced my "attachment" dilemma before and maybe has found an easy fix since those little vertical slats get scraped all the time and put pressure on the spoiler attachment at the same time. The center and the left side of the spoiler are still firmly attached. I have a lift and still get scrapes on our bumpy California freeways on the way to the track...

Don't believe there is a nut behind it. If its the same screw I think youre talking about its just a plastic one correct? I actually took mine out when I put my cup lip on and it stuck in there fine. Now my .2 cup lip likes to pop out

On another note, yes I still have my Audi. It's a 2008 RS 4, Ohlins, HRE's, Euro Flat Bottom Steering wheel, H&R Sways, Short Shifter, Milltek Exhaust and a few other small goodies that I forget.

Beautiful color and very nice-looking wheels! Keep it! Like I probably will my GT3. The new "stuff" coming out of Europe is more "robotic" than ever, a nanny here and a nanny there
. I read in the latest "Automobile" mag that the 991 GT3 is to arrive in late 2014 as a 2015 model with 430HP
. If that's true -and even if it's faster than our current version- why would I spend by that time probably $70K to upgrade for 5HP less?
Like they say, there's no substitute for power (and for good non-electric steering
). I would probably only consider around 500HP as a justification to upgrade.
