Do any of you guys know the history of this GT3?

The guy at the dealer says it's perfect and under warranty so he's refusing to take it to a Porsche dealer for me to have a PPI. Does this make sense? Also, he said Porsche serviced the vehicle 3 weeks ago. I've heard that it can be sketchy buying a car from Texas because of some different salvage title policies. Thanks for any input.

Looks like a nice car. Assuming it was well maintained and has no issues, it's well priced considering the PCCBs and the carbon seats.
Try this. Have the dealer give you a print out of over-revs, and have them put in writing that they certify the car has had no accidents, paint work, or body work. That representation + a printout of the over-revs + an independent's visual inspection (ideally with a paint meter) would satisfy me.
Alternatively, talk to the manager. Tell him that you want the car, and are willing to put down $, but want somebody to do a thorough PPI just in case the dealer missed something. Find out exactly what his concerns are, and talk through a solution. Maybe they will allow an independent come to their shop and monitor a PPI done by them? Seems wasteful, but if they'll allow, it's worth the peace of mind IMO.

Any time I hear someone refuse a request for a PPI, I see red flags. Negotiate a price then make the PPI non-negotiable. If you are ready to purchase now, are ready to pay their price - the refusal of a PPI should make you walk away. The car is priced on the high side and there are other great examples where the owner/dealer will be more than happy to ensure you are actually getting the car they are representing.
The sales guy said he has no problem with me having a mechanic or whomever i pleased go there to check the car out. The problem he has seems to be having the car leave the lot.

Are they going to loan said mechanic their lift, PIWIS computer and tools too? If so, sure, why not. Otherwise, offsite PPI. When I purchased my car back east, the salesman drove the car 25 miles to the PPI shop of my choice without question. My car had 2000 miles so the "it's new and under warranty" argument is BS. If you're prepared to live with the myriad of potential problems a real PPI would uncover then go for it. Otherwise, hold firm.
Thanks for the help anyway guys. Lost the car. It turns out the sales guy's story about the prior owner wasn't BS. One of their regular customers wired them the money this morning for it. Bummer.
I just finished a PPI at GMG in socal here.. Best money spent period. From paint thickness meter to going under the car and examining every bolt and crevices... I felt so "taken" care of. Then a full report to give me an idea how the car is mechanically as well how to "negotiate" from the condition of the car.
They found things that NO ONE wouldve found unless you know the car inside and out.
Do the PPI w a "Reputable" shop/dealer. It is getting married to a 100k car without knowing the "girl" had some crazy history with multiple partners and disease.
I'm looking for a low mile aqua blue with the carbon fiber seats. Those are pretty much my parameters. They seem pretty hard to come by. Appreciate the positive outlook though haha. Welcome to the layer cake, son.
