If you are going to buy a cup car you want to get a 02 and newer because of rebuild related costs. The early cars arent bad but parts are expensive . You really want a car with updates.

R spec engines usually need a refresh @ about 40-50 hours depending on what series you run them in. Pro versus club.
And a rebuild with PMNA aint cheap!!!!!!!!
