Good guide. I have always just wiped with a new/clean colour safe micro fibre cloth wetted in distilled water / deionized water (same thing) and then ringed out. An occasional drop of lemon juice will bring out dirt then brush lightly when dry.

Cheers

why won't Porsche provide some maintenance guide for damn Alcantara in their cars!

Once I found Porsche that I really liked, reasonable price (for 30k miles car), but was taken back by steering and gear **** look of filth/dirt.

Standard leather or CF steering/gearknob/etc...would be much better choice in the long run than dirt attracting Alcantara!

If Alcantara is wiped down regularly and lightly brushed it will stay good for years. Sounds like the car you looked at wasn't well cared for to be presented like that which although replaceable items is probably indicative on how the whole car was presented and treated.
