sbgt3 is infamous around these parts
BMW uses many of the same connectors, such as the 25 pole harness connection in the engine bay. You can buy connectors from them with the wire pigtails already soldered in place. A bit spendy though. Here some examples:
61130007569
61130007571

61131387108
61130007449

Do a google search of the p/n's and look for bmw of south atlanta. They have diagrams and some pictures.

Good luck

By chance, do you know of any sources to buy the rear control module harness connectors? Or even the pins/wire in the kit? The tech described the repair process as replacing the pin, with a couple inches of wire presoldered(soldered by Porsche), and then just splice it in. I have the tools to pull pins and repair the harness, but the reason we had the tech coming to do the work for us is because he has access to pins/connectors at work. It's been a couple days and he hasn't come back. We do appreciate, but are becoming impatient.

A source told me the kit of pins is $600...and there's 3 kits...I've come up dry on ebay and google. I'm going to take the connectors down and see if I can find something non-porsche that would work. Otherwise, we'll beg the dealer or try to find a wrecked car.
Many of the wiring harness connectors used in Porsches are shared with VW and Audi. If you know the actual connector you need (ie part number stamped on the plastic connector - not the Porsche part number) you can try places like worldimpex.com - they typically carry the OEM wiring connectors.

I used them to source a replacement harness for my instrument cluster and tail light: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post3134062

Porsche also sells a wiring harness repair kit - it typically carries spare pins needed to repair most interfaces.

Man, I really like these 07 GT3's. I like the 5 lugs, and the rear wing so much better than the 3.8 cars with the center locks. I think it will be my next street car. A bone stock 07 GT3, white just like the one you are restoring. Good luck with the project and thanks for sharing all the details. Very cool.

Great Links, thank you all for the recommendations. I have bookmarked them all and will undoubtably look back in the future. Sorry for the lack of responses; something came up with work that is requiring my full attention until the end of next week. Our friend ended up coming through for us and has been working on the wiring when he can. The harness is about 70% ready. We were told that he would be able to finish it by Sunday night. Here are two quick shots from the past couple days. We cleaned the pins, and ended up replacing a good few so we wont have to worry about resistance in the long run. Front end is ready to be put back together. Seat tracks cleaned and protected. It's coming along well, I'll try my best to update the blog with details when I can.

You guys didn't get the message? Chaka got a job as a mechanic once Land Of The Lost was canceled. Hollywood was over run by Sleestacks and refused to cast him in any other shows/movies.

I saw right past that in the picture until you guys mentioned it! The tech(Sasquatch) called out on us today. At this point, we're at his mercy so hopefully he will have some free time early this week!

Thanks for all this. One request for the future? I would LOVE to see updates every few months for a while? If you were willing to advise us in the peanut gallery how it is holding up? The only guys I have known who were happy with flood damaged cars were racers who got $1.00 cars as racers. I remember them having a lot of issues but none of them put in effort as you are doing. This might encourage some of us who have been tempted in the past. GOOD LUCK and great work.
