Questions regarding deposit for 991 GT3 RS

Forgive my ignorance regarding what I am about to ask but I have zero experience with this whole pre-order/deposit process. Regardless of the pros and cons circulating about the 991 GT3 I am really considering trying to get in line and pre-order a GT3 RS (if indeed they build one as is speculated for 2015). I do not live in a major metropolitan area w/ a Porsche dealership so I figure I would ask those who have experience on this forum to see if you could assist me in answering some questions. My questions are:

1) I know only a certain number get allocated to the US. Is there a way of finding out which dealership gets a higher number of allocations so that I would have a better chance of getting one through say dealership "x" who gets more allocated versus dealership "y" who may only get one? Or is the whole process first come first serve based on when the orders where placed and has nothing to do w/ specific dealerships per say?

2) What is the estimated amount for a deposit?

3) if, after the GT3 RS is released and there are features on it I am not willing to accept and no longer want the car prior to taking possession, do I have to sell my spot to someone else, or will Porsche simply delete my spot in line and refund me the deposit (all or do they keep a percentage)?

I had a couple more questions but can't think of the at the moment. I greatly appreciate any assistance with this process. I look forward to owning a car that I have always dreamt about driving. Plus, I want to own my brother on the track against his 997tt .

Thanks again.

Most dealers are happy to take a deposit of $1000 to be in line for a new car to be ordered. That deposit is fully refunded if you decide to change your mind (as in most cases each car is spec'ed out by you when the order slot is created and you have notification from the dealer to place the order just in time before the car is built to your specs). Some dealers tend to play games like mark up a premium or some speculators will play the game of ordering a car for resale over MSRP (sell to those that cannot wait and must be first to have one).
