Porsche 991 GT3 inside look - interview with Andreas Preuninger
I have a 2011 C2S PDK. The 991 3.4 or 3.8 really did not have much on it, or in it, that I preferred over my 997.2. Some things on my 997.2, I preferred over the 991. I DD and track my 997.2. Regarding the inevitable discussion of a manual stick vs. PDK, as a DD, I get stuck in traffic, so a clutch would be tiresome. I have modified the stock suspension for the track. My car is (to me) a better DD than a GT3, and almost as good as a GT3 on the track (again, to ME. Your view may vary). Other than the outward looks of the GT3, which I think are beautiful, overall, I feel I have a better, more all around car for a DD and a track car than the 997 GT3. But this 991 GT3! This 991 GT3 is something I would go for over my car. It appears to be fantastic. I am hooked, lined and sinkered!

Well, I'll give him this much, I'm willing to give it a test drive.
I'm still not convinced because I heard the same crap for the 991.
Until it is able to give me the same satisfaction my 997 can, I guess I'll have to wait for the 992

Watched that a few times the other day....turned me on more and more each time I watched it! Should be a beast when it hits the roads. Looking forward to reading actual reviews on here once some lucky owners take possession....me, I won't be able to afford much more than the 997.1 in a few yrs, but hell that's fine with me!
I love the way it looks, and the way you can declutch with the paddles is cool as hell. However, no manual means I won't be buying one... ever.

just stopped by our local dealer to visit my salesman buddy. He has a 106 page .pdf on the 991 GT3 for North America, marked 'restricted'...spent some time going over the specs and technical details.
Long and short of it is the website build sheet is very incomplete. Some items listed of note were factory race seats both hinged backrest and fixed, as well as 6 point seat belts. Was some mention of a clubsport package but didnt get the full info on it.
Canadian base price is going to be $148k.

It takes a year or so for the reviews to mean anything, before that its the normal hype/BS that goes with a new launch/purchase.
Just have a read of some first reviews and then the follow ups a year later, they can be polar opposites!
