this car is said to have prior paint but carfax is clean, so paint work could be anything, obviously if it has a different front bumper that would probably be why they stated that...

Off the bat:
- how many owners
- does seller have all receipts for work
- who did the work (especially the CF roof)
- what was painted (use meter)
- seems like a hodge-podge of mods, changes

It may look nice but feels like a damaged car with a makeover. Saving some money now might seem nice but I'd prefer to buy a mostly OEM car with no stories, a clear owner history and well documented mods, maintenance.

I would be concerned buying a GT3 from a seller that doesn't know it's Carrara White not Carrera White

3 owner car, not sure on much else, probably not gonna find alot out as its a thru a friend at a dealer that just took it in. Do you think Iam better off going for the silver one I asked about below in the "gt3 market" thread? Again I am looking for a car to enjoy for a few months and then sell thru my dealership so resale is the main priorty. Is stock what most guys want? I just thought nice tasteful mods would be good as well? What number would you put on this car that is a no brainer?

A stock, no stories car tends to be easier to sell than either a track ***** or one modded to a particular taste. If you're down to two cars only, I would go for a 1 owner all stock car (the silver one) before the wanna be RS above. Also, if you want a wider audience, head over to the Rennlist GT3 forum. It is much more active than here.

looks like a total pass on this one as the dealer that has it has about the worst reviews Ive ever read, some even on here so the low price must be too good to be true! Thanx for the help guys, to bad too because the car looks amazing!

If you like the look, try to find a real .1 RS. Very solid resale and not too much more.

thanx guys this car is out based mainly on severely poor reviews on dealer that has it. If you could weigh in on my other thread I am leaning towards that car. GT3 market is the title thanx

I called about this car. The dealer was clueless as to the work done ... by whom. Very sketchy on details. The listed the condition as "okay".
Unless you can have it thoroughly checked out,
I would say ... run Forrest run.

Check discussion on rennlist before approaching that car. I seem to recall a discussion on a not great job done with the carbon roof. That car seemed to have a lot of stories.

Airbag light is on due to carbon fiber seats. B.S.

I installed those same seats in my 997 Gt3 and it's a plug and drive install. No airbag light.

No, In fact I didn't. I just unbolted the stock seats, pulled the connectors, pressed them on the GT2 RS seats and bolted the seats in place. Turned on the ignition and all is well. They are perfect!

Why would one need to unplug the battery? It's not necessary.

What is the asking price? I didnt see that in your description. Start with a good PPI and then go from there. You may find out some more details that will either allow you to negotiate a much better price or something that will confirm that its not the car for you. Good luck.

I chatted with the dealer on the phone and he knew very little about the modifications on the car. The price was in the upper $70k range when it was first listed, then he raised it to low/mid $80k, and now it's coming back down again.

I believe it was also missing the decklid fan according to another thread I read about it. I like the idea of this car, but I have a bad feeling about it based on the dealer feedback and the lack of enthusiasm from others.
