Rennline grills sucked. I bought some for my 997.2 GT3 and fitment was horrible. I had to modify them to fit properly.

I made my own. This process is so easy, you just mock up the grill in cardboard and then cut a piece of high density fiberboard to these measurements. Bend your grill material around the wood pattern. I then took the pieces to the power coater and had them sprayed in flat black. Turned out fantastic...

I'm curious how you actually mounted them to the inside of the bumper- with adhesive? if so, what type? Mine were done in this way by RAC in DFW and they used a black adhesive. They used a smaller mesh than the other suppliers out there (also powder coated material) and they look great. However, the driver's side screen section's adhesive didn't hold for some reason and it will have to be repaired. Thanks in advance for your reply!

Yes the bumper must come off and there are some DIYs available to show you how to do it. I used machine screws to attache the screen to the bumper in a way that is not detectable. The screen material was sourced locally and it is rather expensive but I made two sets just in case one was damaged. I have enough material left over to make at least one more set. For my car the center section must also be done because airflows through unlike most 911's which has a dummy panel with no airflow.

yes, the bumper was removed for the install on mine. I think that self-tapping screws would be a good backup along with the adhesive (as I've already found out there isn't a backup for an adhesive failure). My bumper has to come off for the repair now anyways, so I'm going to see if the screws can be added for backup and longevity.
