Can I buy an extended warranty on my GT3?
I'm buying a 2010 GT3 (signing the paperwork today!) but not from a Porsche dealer so it's not CPO'd.
The car will have 4 more months of the factory warranty left on it (the car only has 9k miles) so I wonder if I can buy an extended warranty from Porsche or not?
If I can't, is there any reason to stress over the fact that I will have a very expensive car with no warranty?!

As Porsche is considered one of the more reliable manufacturers, coupled with the fact that your car is relatively newer and has low miles, there shouldn't be many issues that you run into (not factoring regular maintenance); this is assuming that you did the proper pre-purchase due-diligence and performed a PPI which singled that the car was clean.
As far as after-market warranties, there are a myriad of options. Keep in mind that most after-market warranty companies are harder to deal with (require you to furnish detailed maintenance history among other things, etc) in regards to covering repairs, versus having a CPO through Porsche.
There are numerous posts in the forums about your warranty options as well as stories documenting the encounters with getting repair work covered.
Best of luck!
My Porsche Dealer does not offer it for GT3's...

don't know why not, but if they say they don't, then google Easy Care and buy the picky direct. I do know for sure they perform service and take the payment for warranty work under coverage as mine has been used.

As others mentioned, yes there are aftermarket warranties available that you can purchase at the dealer. I moved from Phoenix to Houston in 2010, and at the time my turbo had 2 months left on the factory coverage. I went to the nearest dealer, which happened to be West Houston. They inspected the vehicle and I purchased the EasyCare 4yr plan.
Can't tell you whether the GT3 is excluded as I didn't check. It Is however important to know that the warranty is much cheaper when you purchase it while you still have existing factory coverage. Quite simply they know coming out of the inspection that anything needed now will be covered by the remaining warranty and when the policy kicks in it should be fine.
I don't daily drive mine and only have 19k after all these years but didn't care. I like the peace of mind and consider it part of ownership. Hadn't used it until this summer when it when it for my annual services. All 4 TPMS sensors were replaced under warranty. The invoice was 1k for that work alone, their retail charge.
Stop by one of the local dealers, I'm sure they'll have the information you need.
