Has anyone had any success with a dealer taking an order for GT3 RS my dealer tells me 1.) the the allocation is very limited 2.) Spyder buyers have 1st call and so far they are taking all the allocations.

I've been told by a few dealers that the 918 buyers have first right of refusal on all new models. Whether this was a formal program who knows. Part of incentive to move the cars is my guess.

I have had a deposit on a 991 GT3RS at my dealer for 6 months (#2 on his list). I also happen to have a deposit on a GT3 (#7 on his list!)

A while ago I received info about the 918 to purchase, and I remember it definitely did say that 918 buyers do have first pick at some limited cars.

Interesting how many deposits are being taken for the RS. My dealer refused to take a deposit on a model that hasn't been released yet. I have bought a new 997 GT3 from him in the past, so I do consider myself their customer. Has alone else experienced this?

Bought 3 RSs and 1 GT3 from my dealer

So, I trust him to take my deposit. RS is a year away...

I went to another dealer I've done biz with , made the deposit and I am #2 on their allocation. Time will tell but I'm optimistic.

Your right I was told by a PCNA rep (HQ is here in ATL) at the 991 launch that 918 owners get first dibs on everything.

Nothing yet - but note that even when you hear what should be the launch date, they can often be off by several months - my 991 GT3 was an October/November - then it was a January - Actually got her in December ....... I suspect the third quarter of 2014 for the RS -

I think it's fair for Porsche (or any other automotive company) to award privileges to those willing to spend $1MM on a vehicle.
