Salvage title

got a chance to pick up a 911 2011 gt3 RS with 10k miles on it, paint is pretty F'ed up with scratches and dents all around but eninge and interior look good. What would you guys pay for something like that/would you buy a salvaged vehicle??

Hard to tell with out any pictures. I would get a PPI first, at least to make sure the motor is healthy and try to sniff out anything you don't see. Let us know what you end up doing and post a few pictures when you get a chance.

And, obviously if you intend to drive the car on the street, be sure that your State allows cars that have had salvage titles to be registered. Many States no longer allow it. Cars with salvage titles are often sold for parts or shipped overseas.

How is that a salvage title?! Without major body damage or blown airbags, I'n very curious what could be wrong to warrant the salvage title...Water damage possibly??

That's a Sandy Flood car. Everyone already knows to stay away from it as in time, everything will be corroded with all that salt water that has permeated it.

It's not the type of salvage car one would want. I would say don't buy it.

There was a thread about this car on Rennlist last year and the consensus was to leave it alone.

If you already got it, good luck. Wish you the best!

And notice the Carrera GT just behind it. Wonder what's with that one, also?
