Second Thoughts

Anyone having second thoughts about a GT3? I was just notified that my build has been moved to Sept now which means I'll get the car in time to put it in the garage for winter and won't be able to drive it until May 2015. This is on top of the dealer telling me I'd get the first car and then them giving it to someone else. I am also concerned about the engine issue...

I guess the only good news is that it sounds like I can order PTS (Aqua Blue)...

Any thoughts?

I think the engine issue will be resolved and not rear it's ugly head again. As to your slot at the dealer that would irritate me more than the engine. The dealer obviously knows he can sell the cars and is not too worried about what you might think. There's a free market and then there's a greedy free market. I prefer not to deal with the latter.

I got one of the first off the boat as most of you know - I drover her 2,000 miles plus - it is a transformational car - I have more than dozen Porsches from the 50s-present - it is AMAZING - if the fact that they stepped up, acknowledged and worked to remedy the issue is a problem, pass.

For me, I patiently await its return - Will probably have my 918 delivered before then :-) but still - my 4.0 and 50th Anny will have to hold me over till then

Kudos to you for keeping all these cars in the city. I've come to realization that I'm driving with the front axle lift system UP for half of the time in my .2 GT3 as the streets are, uhm, unbearable. FDR north is no longer an option (I take West Side Hwy now leaving Manhattan) and then there are countless side streets being repaved (at least) so I'm dancing around pot holes or I should call them craters, and gullies that stick out 3 inch in the middle of the streets.

^^^Nurburg611 seems to tell it like it is..

I agree with Stef430 Porsche seems to be quite adept at keeping their customer as their product and customer service is beyond any of its childhood friends ;0)
