Apparently he doesn't know what the double yellow lines painted on the road mean, nor does he appreciate that he's on a pubic road with numerous side roads leading to farms and homes.
But because he's probably an "expert" driver, I have no doubt he can handle the car and all things that could go wrong at this speed.
Amazing video? No. Amazingly stupid? Yes.
If you can afford a GT3, you can surely afford to take it to the track..

Farm roads north of Dallas. Been on them a number of times w/local car clubs. Fun but gotta consider those around you including motorcyclists. There's also very little if any shoulder in most areas and ditches on either side. Agree that a track is probably a better a place to open it up. Fun to watch though.

I am afraid my first reaction was negative and thought the driver was being irresponsible. I agree that this car should be on a track to explore its performance envelope!
The car itself sounds fantastic! I cannot wait for mine! Anyone think that car had an aftermarket exhaust? Or does the stock OEM exhaust sound that good?

Are you guys a bunch of old ladies - c'mon???? This guy's 6 10ths on a straight road with no traffic in one of the best handling road cars made today (if not ever). So he passed on double yellow line where he had more than enough visibility - you call him an a-hole, but he wasn't being dangerous. Y'all act like this is one of those vids from the middle east where two 18yo princes are racing through rush hour traffic in their TT Gallardos. So we buy these crazy handling, crazy fast cars and the only place we can have fun is on a track? 95% of all sports/supercars aren't even considered cars for the track. Sam seemed to be conscious of low visibility corners and hills and really only got on it on flat straights where he could see 15-20 seconds ahead of him. I'm sure none of you have ever exceeded the speed limit or passed some idiot going 40 in a 55 on a double yellow. I see less considerate/more dangerous driving every time I'm on the road than I saw in the vid.
Twist-a-grip, I couldn't have said it better myself. If this driving is considered so risky and unprofessional, I guess I should be locked up. I enjoyed living in rural Missouri where we had similar terrain. It was a blast hitting the back state roads where you'd come across the occasional tractor hauling hay at 30mph or farmer driving his pickup only slightly faster. Drivers who didn't grow up in that environment don't understand that it's much safer there than on the six lane highways of Southern California, or streets of retirement villa here in Florida.
I think the GT3 is a great car, a dual purpose vehicle that allows you to enjoy the street as well as the occasional track day. A few of these replies imply that it's full time track car that shouldn't be enjoyed on the street. If you're looking for a single purpose track car, it should have a fuel cell, roll cage, open exhaust and a single seat. Otherwise, relax and enjoy the ride!
To the original poster: thank you for the video, it was exhilarating to watch!
