PCCB or not?

I was curious as to whether the gt3 crowd has been opting for PCCB or not.

Are the majority of you that track your car getting them?

What if you don't plan on taking the car to the track? In that case are the PCCBs simply nice jewelry with no real purpose?

I'm making on the waiting list and playing with the Configurator. Always dangerous...

Good Luck with the waiting list !!

Only problem with PCCB's is the price. Regular Brakes work very well on the track.

PCCB's have the initial bite, but there really is no performance advantage with regard to stopping distance and fade.

Biggest benefit I see of PCCB's is lack of brake dust. With PCCB's there is none so cleaning the wheels is very easy. If you are buying new, is this convenience worth 9k?

Can't argue those points. The rotors are huge.

If you can afford it get it. If you can't then don't .

Anytime you're spending the kind of money that the gt3 costs, what's another 9k? LOL.

Is this true? If so, what's the point?

They truly are awesome. But a serious overkill in my opinion if you have no intention of tracking regularly.

If you track a lot than you want to avoid the PCCB's and go with steel rotors. On the last generation GT3's many swapped out their PCCB's for steel when tracking their car. The replacement for PCCB's is cost prohibitive and they did not offer any real performance advantages other than the low brake dust but who cares when you are tracking your car.

Also, there is a lack of brake pad options for PCCB's compared with steel rotors.

So if the PCCB's don't give you any advantage in terms of braking performance, do they at least save some unsprung weight? I never hear that discussed on the forum. Does anyone know the weight differences and if so, does it matter?

Get it on the car as an option as it helps the resale quite a bit. As soon as you get the car, take them off and put on steels for everyday and especially track duties.

When selling the car put the ceramics back on!

I ordered it because I wants the highest performance spec possible for this car. On a Carrera I would not do it. Won't even on a turbo. But on this car, I think it deserves being at its absolute best.
