Well worth the wait. What an awesome car!

PDK-S is unlike any double clutch in auto mode I have ever driven. It is always in a "sport-inclined" mode and always prefer to stay at a lower gear than a normal double clutch. On my C4S, light throttle at 36 mpg will go to 7th, while this will only go to 5th. It always "likes" to be on a lower gear but not overly so like Sportplus in a regular 911. As soon as you drive it harder, it immediately switches to a more aggressive behavior. Like David Donohue says, he drives it in Auto for hot laps because it is so intuitive.

PCCB stops on a dime. Exhaust sounds awesome but will be more awesome when I put on the Sharkwerks pipe next week.

The 458 was my favorite double clutch ever, but now this one is.

it's really interesting that you prefer the PDK-S from your GT3 over 458 double clutch... seems that they've really done a good work with that one... So far i'm still happy with my manual :-)

I have an aventador and shifts are very hard but it is 50ms and is twice as quick as the GT3 which is only 100ms.

I think the 458 shift speeds are much faster than 100ms no??

Porsche hasn't listed the actual shift speed - only saying it is less than 100 ms. I honestly don't think humans are capable of differentiating anything related to a time of 50 ms. We're talking humming bird wings.

Exactly. I drove an Aventador a few weeks ago. I loved the way it looked and sounded, but did not like the shifts. Salesman and I both agreed on that. The last semi-auto I had was a 430. Never looking back. I would much prefer a manual over an F1.

The 458's transmission is very smooth and fast. Its just that the GT3's is very "inclined" to be sporty yet doesn't force you to me (like sport plus in a regular 991) if that makes sense. Very intuitive and yet very smooth. I think the Speciale will probably be like that too.

Not selling it anytime soon as this is my only sports car for a while until the i8 and Z06 comes.
