Just saw this on jabbasworld, and thought what a better place to get a good discussion going then 6speed.

"Exciting project reveiled a couple of days ago. Some hot entrepeneur over here in Belgium bought a Carrera GT and is going to change it into a fullblood racecar. It's going to take some time ofcourse because nothing really excist specifically for the CGT and they won't get support from Porsche.

Yesterday i was in Spa-Francorchamps and i saw the car because they are going to explore it's capabilities in a national Belcar-race. Everything is standard at the moment so that will be interesting.

In the future they will decide in which championship they will compete when the car is finished, possibilities are: Le Mans, LMES, FIA GT and Belcar."

They are better not crash this car... could you imagine the cost of a brand new CF chassis? I suppose it's like a healthy kidney or something...

 

as much as a lot of those full out race cars cost Probably less actually

wow, if it happens...it will be interesting to see what class/series of race the car could qualify for in competition. There is no guarantee to get it into Le Mans. Perhaps it could compete in GT1 with the Vettes, Astons and Ferrari V-8's.
