Sport Chrono Yes or No?
Sport Chrono Yes or No?
Let me hear your opinions on sport chrono for a 2015 GT3. The car I am interested in does not have it. My TTS did have it. I do not plan on tracking the GT3.
As far as I know sport chrono does nothing for you in the GT3 other than having a lap timer. In a Turbo it does much more. IMO, it's just personal taste for asthetics only. Many GT3 owners prefer to not have it.
If you're not going to track extensively, there's no point. There are. No mechanical advantages. If you like a minimal look (without the clock) don't get it.
I didn't get it, don't miss it, and.... have the center locks, and rear spoiler,.... and it's still a GT3!

Sport Chrono is really only a clock and lap timer. It's not like the other 911 line where it has a performance aspect. I got it on mine as I like how it looks. Thankfully mine only cost $400.
I don't have it. I figure it is one less piece to vibrate. Like others have said there is nothing other than a lap timer included for $1,800.

Yep, I would have passed on it with the GT3 as well but mine was there already since I didnt order the car. So I got one extra Guards Red gauge LOL. There are no material gains from SC on the GT3 as others mentioned.
If you look it up you will realize that there is a lot more to it than what everyone is saying. It is track specific and has info from most tracks in the world. If you don't track then of no use, but if you do leaning how to use it could be quite useful.
Except there are other options that are far better for far less.....track app option. I like the look of the clock. On this version it is far better integrated than the previous wart.
