GT3RS Pricing

Wanted to share this story on a call that I got today on the RS.
So even though I have just bought my GT3, I would not dismiss getting an RS in a short turn around time, so when a local dealer (who I have bought from previously) called me today to say he had an allocation, I started to get quite interested. The dealer asked if I could have my build spec to him by the end of the day.....then the crunch point came - he was calling all possible buyers asking them to send their builds, and with the build how much I was prepared to pay for the build, and the highest bidder ( greatest profit at a guess) would get the allocation.

I did not configure a build or get back to him, love the products, but this sort of thing is just painful, or at least I think so.

It is a dealership and not an auction house. I wish everyone who got the call just walked or bid lower than retail (eg GT3 MSRP + $10k)

RS Pricing

My dealer called me yesterday too. They told me that they were getting one car and that I was #1 on their list so that it was mine, but that they wanted $30k above MSRP for the car.

I was beside myself pissed, because the original sales manager told me they would not do this, but "he no longer works for the dealership" and the new sales manager apparently doesn't give a ____ about customer retention.

If anyone here is getting a car at MSRP, I would greatly appreciate a PM with your dealer name, or even post it here as it would be good props for the dealer.

Good luck to all of us looking for a RS at MSRP.

Getting mine at MSRP...Order went in Monday. Lava Orange. I love this dealer. Got my turbo S from them as well. First shipment on that car too, also at MSRP. Don't want to cause any problems by giving their name out, but it is a shame to hear how so many other dealers work it.....

Also got one at MSRP but I had a deposit for almost 2 years now. Not sure whether I will keep it long term but we'll see!
