Waiting to see more data on this topic. Sharkwerks seems to be the standby unit that many have used. I'm not too sure if the aero is a real issue on this unit but would like to learn more. The Cargraphics unit in your first pic is promising and retains the stock exhaust switch but I have not seen a dyno backup. Evo MS has a new system being released that shows some gains and does not seem to lose power anywhere. It sounds good too. I'd like to see some figures behind the BBI solution. It sounds good&M, but you lose the stock exhaust switch function. M&M is another that I'd like to learn more about. Some like the IPE unit but some have doubts. Akro is there and pricey-but worth it? Lots of other options, depends on priorities-sound, power, weight, no drone, stock functionality all come into play. Gotta decide what suits you best. So I'm undecided until more info is available.

People who have doubts on IPE are probably ppl who have never used IPE products. Unfortunately the brand has been very poorly advertised. The current supplier in the US haven't been helping the past two years. Their products are very good, if not one of the best in stainless steel. Also the electronic remote valve that hooks up to the sports button is sweet. No more angry neighbours, can easily talk on the phone + go on a date, and the car wakes up at your finger tips when you want to have a little fun!
I'm tempted to go w the IPE for the reasons just stated. Their product for the 991 sounds incredible. But I have not seen anyone post IPE w a 997.2 which is what I need. Can anyone provide a testimonial for an exhaust they utilized with their .2?
I'm in the same situation. The car is simply too quiet and boring under 6k and I'm not looking to always have it strung out when driving around town. Here's how I see it;
Sharkwerks: Excellent price point but to me the sound is just louder, not higher or deeper. Might be good, not sure since I haven't heard in person but I'm not sold on it.
CSR (Chris Smith Racing): Good price point like Sharkwerks but I don't like the single pipe exit.
GMG: Very similar to the Sharkwerks at almost double the price. Vids so far make it sound better than Sharkwerks, but 1k better? Not sure yet.
BBi: Excellent price point but has some drone at 3k. No valve switching so loud all the time
Cargraphic: Great price point for what you get. Has valves but removes side cans like BBi. Haven't heard it yet or seen any real testimonials. Money is going to test it and I look forward to his review.
EVOMS: I personally don't like the look of the angled tubes coming out. Reminds me too much of local "performance" shop when it's definitely not.
Fabspeed: No idea since no one seems to post about it. My only experience with them is forum warriors on Fchat.
Akrapovic: 13k. I'm not looking to buy the Bugatti of exhaust systems. It's an exhaust afterall. The competition's offering start at 1k for reference.
IPE: Spam forums and make fake user accounts to post their products. If they are this shady in sales just imagine their support... Pass
Ross- Thanks for your nice overview. A friend in Houston has the Brombacher exhaust system and is very happy with it. In addition to getting the cup car sound, it adds 25+ HP and torque plus shaves 45 pounds off the back. This is the lead horse for me as of now.
You can use our center section with the stock headers and cats as well as the stock mufflers. You can also use our headers and cats with stock mufflers and or stock center section.
Testing has shown that the stock mufflers although heavy are designed correctly and work. Removal of them or even bypassing the valve system to stay open and not work with the engine ecu functions causes the car to loose power.
Here are some pictures of some of the other parts to the system we manufacture:

Haven't heard of that one yet. So many options with Porsche! I'm used to Ferrari where there is like 2... Do you know which exhaust he has? It sounds like the "sport" they have advertised. http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/3_..._o_valves.html

Fabryce,
It's interesting that you say that because there have been members that tested bypassing the valves and it had no effect on the power. Here's the thread for reference: http://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/8...st-valves.html. I'm not saying I don't believe you, but do you have anything to support your findings?
EVOMS said they lost power without the valve system, but that could be due to the higher flowing cats and equal length header construction. I'm very confident that the 9A1 with stock headers and a bypass doesn't lose power with the valves forced open. I think everyone is making an assumption that it will because the 997.2 Mezger did. It's a different engine.
FVD Brombacher (M&M) is making a valveless exhaust with their mufflers and a new center section for me. I should have it and will do video, photos, dyno, etc in a few weeks.

After spending a hour with Rhonda at FVD and my buddy Scott who is a track junky, I going with the Brombacher/ M&M. See link below. It will cost 6 all in including tune software, gaskets, bolts and shipping straight from Germany to my shop. Two guys in Houston have this set up for over one year and go to the track minimum once a month, so it passes the test of time. I think MnM makes the cup car exhaust, so it looks like we are dealing with the right guys. Plus the set up removes heat from the tire area. There seems to be upteem great reasons to go with this. Plus the Euro / dollar ratio is at all time low thus this is costing less then it cost my friends. Only draw back is it will prob take 3 weeks to get from Germany.
BBi have sides delete but without Flaps
TPC and Cargraphic , with flaps
which one you using?
The answer to this question will vary depending on what you are looking to do.
The side muffler delete is a great modification to save weight, but will only effect the exhaust tone when your PSE valves are closed. When your PSE is activated, you are already bypass the side mufflers.
The center muffler delete is where you will see real gains in the exhaust tone. When the valves are open, your exhaust is essentially a straight pipe from the headers back. When your valves are closed, you will still get the function of the side mufflers to quiet the car down a bit.
If you are only going to do one or the other - go with the center muffler bypass. If you are looking for maximum performance and sound increase, go for both. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!

Matt-if you could video the whole replace and install, that would be very helpful. I wont be getting mine until late in the month and was hoping to do a little homework before me and my mechanic install the new system.
