My question is at what rpm is your sweet spot? Or putting it another way ........... at approximately what rpm does your torque and power start to come on and approximately where does it start to taper off?

The reason for my question is KA's new turbo motor is utilizing the GT3 cams. I'm trying to determine which type of turbo's would best serve tracking/driveability purposes.

Strikes me a little strange that SCG would is using a cam profile from an NA application for FI purposes... the two have different requirements, specifically when it comes to overlap and deg duration. For all the time and R&D, I would have thought they'd custom grind you a set specifically for suitable for your high hp high boost application. Can it really be that the GT3 cams are optimized for both NA and high boost applications...

I can tell you this much. Tuners have used with success the GT3 exhaust cams on 996tt motors (they fit right in.) The intake cams require the larger housings.

Like I said earlier ............... we are clsoe to finding out.

Tick tick tick... almost there, Chad! Even if they keep the same grind, at least make sure attention is paid to the overlap to maximized FI results. Often times, NA setup have more overlap than is desired for FI applications. Good luck...
