GT at 'Streets of Willow' Video

Here's my first video of me tailing a modded Turbo (900+hp I think).

Videos were removed because of bandwidth. Thanks for viewing!

I'm finding out about the Turbo. As I was very focused on keeping the car stable and learning my lines, it seemed a waste of effort on that short track to keep shifting. 3rd did very well for me, and I redlined just at the end of the straight. Next time, i'll try a short shift and get to 4th to see if I can get more speed.

In a GT3 it's mostly a 2nd gear track using 3rd and very briefly 4th.

I suspect the GT has "a bit" more torque.....

CGT torque is around 400 lb-ft. A typical modded turbo is 500 to 600 lb-ft. From the video, it seemed the CGT was out of the powerband most of the time.

I hear ya. Keeping it between 6000 and 8000 on the big track is mind blowing.

Fayence, did you get to ride with an instructor driving? That's a great help on this, and on any track that's new to you.

What time do you leave SD to get to Willow Springs on time for tech inspection? That's gotta suck.
