Standard Transmission (Manual) in US

I have been thinking of trading in my 991S (convertible) on something more for the track. My biggest issue is that I really do not want a PDK (which I ask everyone to just accept, please). There are a lot of stories out there about the success of the 911 R and that Porsche is going to put the same 6-speed transmission as an option in the GT3 - which for me would be the ideal setup. I asked at my local dealer and they indicated that they don't think that will be available as an option in the US.

Anyone know anything factual - all seems like rumor at this point. Many thanks for any info.

All you are going to get is rumor at this point. I do think that there is a lot of emerging info that the next GT3 will offer a manual and Porsche has build "world" cars for a long time. It would be very unusual for them to have a drivetrain available in Europe that is not offered in the US.

Based on what I've read I'd bet money that the next GT3 will offer a manual.

FYI - I have a 991S Cab and a GT3.
