The GT2 would be better IMO - faster, more rewarding, more rare, etc...
But the 997 GT3 will have that "new look and feel" if you buy it right away, which is priceless. Tough choice.

Did you see that video posted recently of the Koro 4.6 GT3? It was jaw droppingly fast and nimble. THAT would be my choice...

No contest for me. The only turbo car I've ever really liked was the 993. GT3 is my vote

disclaimer: In no way am I dissing turbos. or GT2s...they are fantastic, I just prefer normaly asperated cars.

See https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=42391.

There is no doubt I would wait for the 997 GT3 with 400 hp. Sorry guys, but the 996 of any kind is just getting old and tired. Don't worry, I expect some fun hammering from you guys!

Hey Gerry,
Stop dissing the 996. I thought the 997 looks ugly but it's growing on me just like the BMW 5 series. Time for the 997GT3!

Considering the current values of a low mileage GT2 versus paying sticker for a new Gt3. Let someone else take the hit, buy the Gt2 now and if you want a GT3,pick up a 2 year old 997Gt3 in a couple of years. There will be plenty of garage queens out there to choose from that will have depreciated 20 - 30% in that first couple of years.

Get the new 997 GT3, the lastest from the greatest...with styling to go with it...415HP and a 8400 RPM redline! You can't go wrong with that*
