Noise/Vibration 997 GT3 3.8
Hi guys,
i’ve noticed a noise while i was driving yesterday.
it’s like a metalic vibration coming from the engine area between 4500/5000 rpm on every gear ( at least 1,2,3 ). This is the range where the drone coming from the exhaust is at his maximum level ( i’ve got stock exhaust unit except the Sharkwerks by-pass )
I remove the rear bumper and all the heat shield, and went for a drive … nothing change.
If i put the gearbox in neutral and if i rev the engine till 4500rpm it seems there is no noise … cause no drone
it appears only when the car is warm.
i’ve unplugged the exhaust valve too… no change.
if you guys have some idea i would appreciate it !
