I went to drive a DD STR8Jeep last week.
Very fast fun car.8 mpg..lol
Anyway, after the drive I was told the car was 5K above sticker..
I laffed and took off.

That is true! My boss and me went to one of the BMW Dealer in Santa Clara and they have $10K mark up shown on the window sticker, and then we went to Porsche dealer which is about half mile away and they want $18K over MSRP for coming 997 GT3!

The price on the 997 GT3 will drop to $90K by the end of the 2008. This happened on 996GT3, will do the same on 997GT3.

Best to wait it out.
Let others take the 50K hit to drive it 5K miles.
Also by that time there might be aftermarket and we will pretty much know how the car is and if us 996GT3 guys really think it's best to trade up.

Honestly, I don't understand why rush to replace your 996 since you have a nice colour combo and love the car. Let's see how the 997 is first and then decide. You already have a fun car...
