in my opinion the current GT3 is just as good as the upcoming one & even purer. the 997 GT3 sure is hot but is it really worth to trade the 996 in? it's impossible to keep up with all the new cars coming out. although i want one but i think it'd be smarter waiting for the future facelift car.
i couldn't agree more. keeping mine.

Yup, I tend to concur. They don't seem to be making em like the 996 GT3 any more. Glad I have one!

LEGENDPORSCHE is infamous around these parts
The first allocation was for 74 builds I probably will see the second allocation which will be in november. I have 3 orders and would gladly help any board members.

Hey Ed,

Yeah, still have the 3 since I could'nt make the 2 deal happen. I was thinking about the new GT3 or RS but have been disappointed with the details. Something keeps telling me to hold on to her-kinda like the girlfriend your parents wanted you to dump in high school ... How's that RS clone? Did you finally get it?

Per my dealer (Carlsen Porsche of Redwood City, CA) ALL US 997s, to include GT3 and RS, will come with a sunroof, and no "delete sunroof" option will be offered. He forwarded to me an email from PAG confirming this. Euro units have the "option," not US ones.

However, as noted above, dealers have been known to be incorrect.

Gt3rs

Good to see that you still have the 2. I had hopes of a new GT3RS but can't believe the sunroof thing. Looks like I'll be holding to the 3. Got a new truck-check my sig. That monster is fun.

Not wanting to divert traffic, but check the GT3/GT2 forum over on Rennlist. Lots of noise there.
