First track day review with GT3...
Well I got back from my first track day(in the GT3) and although it got cut a little short because of an incident my father had in his own car I had some fun in the GT3. Ihave tracked a lot of 911s before, raced my 944 turbo, done some karting in the US and overseas and with all of this I can honestly say the GT3 demands some respect. The car is VERY rewarding if you drive it correctly but I realized very quick I can not be quite as careless at times like in the 944 turbo. I was pushing the car maybe 7/10ths at most because it was the first time on the track with it and there is no sense in wrecking the car. I def need to work out the alignment because I think it was slightly off(even though I just got it done by my shop). I also need to go with some Pagid RS19s which I did not get in time, but other then that I have to say the GT3 is extremely well balanced when driven correctly and I did a fair bit of steering with the throttle which was fun
. I will be taking the car to gingerman at the beginning of next week to test it out again at a safer track where I can push the car harder than this past event. I have a lot of respect for this car in both its capabilities and its need for smoothness. In my 944 turbo I felt as though the car was too forgiving and that I had maxed out my potential in the car. I am glad I have some work to do in this car to get everything I can get out of it.

enjoy the gt3, it's a great car but very hard to master. i have logged over 10k track miles on mine and still learn things every time i am out. i raced it for the first time last weekend. driving it under pressure was really nerve wrecking and hard, spun it 3/4 into the race, LOL.

thanks guys, Dad is alright, it was a very minor incident but enough that we felt like packing up early. I will post some pics and give you guys some more feedback as soon as I get her back to a track event

Luis,
Good luck and be careful with your black beauty. If you are running stock suspension, I would highly recommend alignment and corner balance, before you go out and track, if you haven't already. If you have not done this, the stock set up is ok for street but, once you get on the track the rear has tendency to want to step out and do it very quickly. I believe that you are out in the AZ area, monitor your tire pressure, not too much air pressure cold. Does it sound like I spun mine?...
Good time to try out your new seats, great score!
Are you located close to Evolution? Have met Mike and talked to him several times, great guy.
Enjoy, it'll be fun! She's fast but can be fickle..
