Just remember, while the 996 GT2 was rated at 48X, more then a few people put down 440-450 rwhp which is about 515-520 to the crank. Either way, rated at 500+ or less, it'll most likely be putting out more power.

Agree...but I think it is CLOSER to the 996 GT2 in terms of looks than 996 to 997 Turbo.
No matter how hard I try, I just cannot get excited about the 997 Turbo...from any angle it just looks weird (especially the rear bumper...any else notice how "fat" it looks just below the taillight ??).

This GT2 is gonna be even sicker than the 996 GT2. Judging by the fact that the 996 GT2 ran 11.9-12.0@120-121+, and the 997TT runs a out 11.4-11.7@up to 121, the 997 GT2 should def be low to mid 11's, maybe a 10.9 spot in there at 126+ mph due to lighter weight, rwd, etc. Gonna be very exciting to see handling on that car as well. I love it by the way! Good find!

Me too! The new front bumper looks very agressive with the very wide openings.

Im sure there will be a sunroof delete option. I dont feel a GT2 or 3 should have a sunroof, or power cupholder, but I still love the car no matter what.

Porsche USA has responded to people on the other P car board about this.

The answer is ALL 997's coming to the U.S.A. WILL have mandatory sunroof. Mandatory as in, sunroof delete not available.

No thanks. Doesn't excite me, especially with a sunroof. Is it me or does it lack personality. No wow factor. So far, the only car they got right was the Gt3, just MHO.

Did Porsche USA provide any reasoning behind no delete sunroof option?
