i've never driven the 997TT unfortunately

but the Ruf's steering feel is definitely better than the 996TT's. i dunno, maybe it has to do with the chunky Ruf steering wheel, but it just feels really nice.

very different than the GT3's mind you, which is really alive in your hands on the track. again, its the classic "AWD 911's steering feel just can't match that of a RWD 911..."

the more things change...

Excuse me if this is a dumb question but does that roll cage come standard?

I don't remember the 996 GT3 having a roll cage and I actually prefer not having one mine....anyone else?

Any more pics of the actual seats?

thanks,
rick

Brilliant car but what's up with no sunroof?!? I mean everybody wants a sunroof right? Certainly every fat dumbarse American wants a sunroof right? I mean that's Porsche's view, isn't it? Cuz we're all big fat dumbarse idiots over here right? Opps, hang on. Gotta grab my extra large triple half-caf soy latte and a cohiba then take a big ole crapper while I read People magazine before I can finish this rant... Yup, I'm Porsche's target customer all right....

rick, the rollcage is part of the CS Package (ClubSport) option, which my dealership told me is not available the first model year. but in answer to your question, it's optional.
