Flooring must be eating these dealers alive. Or is Porsche helping out?

"Some cars must have "re-appeared".
A week or two ago there were only 17 new 2005 CGT and no 2004 cars showing on the Porsche dealers' locator system."

You have to remember to check the sytem for both "stock" and "customer" listed cars.

The one that surprised me the most was the Basalt Black listed as ordered for a customer (obviously didn't take it) at Gaudin in Las Vegas.

Chris, Why was that surprise? I've noticed over the years that Gaudin floors quite a few expensive Porsche models as well as Astons. I think they want to have them for the impulse high roller/celebrities that come into town.

I had just assumed the high roller would have been in by now!

leftover cars in Kansas or Idaho etc..... makes sense to me. Gaudin should have sold out ages ago like I did!

Porsche is not helping out. Dealer is paying all flooring costs including insurance. That's why you have to understand the reluctance of some dealers to discount the car "heavily." To give you an example, PAG bought back a brand new '05 CGT from one dealer and sold it to Dubai. Although the car is no longer a liability to the dealer, they lost over $20k in flooring costs because the car sat for nearly a year and PCNA/PAG refused to "help out" or share in any of the costs. And yes, the original customer backed out of the order when the car arrived.

Ya know what I apologize, just spoke with my friend who works down there and it seems as though since he told me, the deal on the car fell through. Oppss!
