I'm #1 at a dealer that is in the Top 10 in national sales (don't wish to specify the dealer right now).

I called my sales manager and he said it is BS that anybody has received their GT3RS allocation at this point. Specifically, he said if the buyer doesn't have a reference # and a monthly build date, then they DON'T have an allocation.

So here's the $64K question......

HAS ANYBODY ACTUALLY BEEN GIVEN A REFERENCE # AND MONTHLY BUILD DATE???

Good thing I'm giving them 20g's next week then eh What I've learned from this thread is that every dealer is saying something different. There is no consistency.

 

I have been on a list since January 06 and was asked for 5k in August. I am still in the dark and my dealer is telling me he has not received his allocation.

Been on the list since December of 05 here. Depends what dealer. It's got more to do with how many cars they sell etc...

There are no allocations yet.

Basically your dealer just called you to say that Porsche has had a meeting about allocating the RS to NA, and not that the cars have been allocated.

So we are getting close, but there are no allocations, yet.

 

RR4 is right. No "official" allocations yet. They received preliminary allocations, but nothing "official." Depending on sales volume, as reported before, a dealer can receive anywhere between 3-5 units for the entire year. This is the truth. I spoke with my GM and together, we had the opportunity to meet with the VP of Marketing from PCNA just yesterday. So the source is direct. Hold your horses guys, we're close, but not quite there yet.

I can report though, that definitely no sunroof, white can officially be ordered and we're going to get the single mass flywheel, which some suggested earlier through rumors that we weren't going to get. However, definitely NO ROW stuff...i.e.: CGT bucket seats, rollbar, plastic window, etc. I forgot the "exact" number for the official price, but the 12x,xxx is pretty much accurate, give or take a couple of thousand.

by allocation, i think alex and i mean that the dealer knows how many cars they are getting. they dont know when it will be build nor can they order. BH and champion, whom i have contact with all know the # of cars they will get now.

but of course, they can lie.
