I just joined the forum and have been reading a lot of your posts / threads. Have to say that this is a great source of info!

As indicated in the title, I have a 997 GT3 on order, February production. Still thinking about what to get / what not to get! This will be my first Porsche although I have driven many many of them, so I want to make sure I get it right!

This will be a daily driver - we have great roads here in Dubai, most of them new!! No worries there!

Here is what I have so far:
- xenons
- full leather (don't like alcantara at all!)
- adaptive sports seats (still debating)
- thicker leather steering wheel
- a few cosmetic options like carbon package (maybe), yellow seat belts, etc.

Not decided on paint color yet... That's the most difficult: love the atlas grey, white, basalt black .... but simply can't decide! And only a few days left before I have to finalize the order

And, btw, no sunroof on Gulf specs cars

I would love to but they are a bit expensive, to be honest with you. Especially since I will probably only track the car ten times a year.

 

congrads!!! but you said you don't like alcantara??? well you better cancel that full leather option then... it will give you even more alcantara... even on the DOORS!!! hahaha... order carbon shift **** and hand brake to loose the alcantaras... thick steering will have no alcantara so good going... but also you got a great HUGE roof liner thats in Alcantara as well... so ya...

Don't really mind alcantara roof liner and probably doors. I just don't want it on the seats, steering wheel and shift ****.

Am actually curious: which option to specify to get the door panels in leather?

hahaha... well the seats has to come with alcantara... as well as the doors if you order full leather... the only way not to get alcantara seats is to get CGT seats after delievering i guess... good luck though... maybe you can cancel it through special order
