997 GT3 Delivery in Panama

Let me preface this by stating that the car is not mine (not yet...., I am "stuck" with a "lowly" 996 C2). The new owner is shown in the pics, a dear friend of mine. I drove the car a few weeks ago when it first arrived and now I am looking at which local bank has the least amount of security around here

Please excuse the quality of the pics as I was too excited to realize that I had the wrong white balance selected and I opted to shoot handheld. The rest of the pics can be seen here: http://www.bergesetco.com/GOB_Web/

I also had a chance to drive a 997TT and to be honest, I prefer the GT3 by far. Incredible as the TT is, its just too isolated and quiet. Put it this way, I didn't even bother taking pics of it!

good luck in getting one.
my wife is from panama I love it there. i was looking at a house approx 5miles away from the dealership.(4 months ago) but my wife shot me down when i wanted to move the family there. its a beautiful country.
its a shame the roads are so ****ed to really enjoy the car but hey with all the new developments the roads will soon come. 5 years ago you didnt see exotics like you do now.there are alot of peppers in panama.

Hi kingtut. I actually live about a mile away from the dealership (Costa Antigua, Costa del Este). Helps me keep tabs on what cars arrive (I know that a slate grey GT3 is also on its way, sadly, no GT3RS).

You are right when you say that the roads here are not the best. I sometimes wish I had something else to drive as my RoW M030 suspension can get tiresome after a while. I lust after a GT3, but my mind keeps telling me "7 passenger diesel powered SUV". Yeap, tons of Cayennes here. A Cayenne Turbo is about as perfect vehicle as it comes for roads here. We have a few Turbo S running around here.

Glad to hear everyone else is enjoying the pics.

Wow....that is such an amazing car. I have been wrestling with the decision of either a GT3 or F355/360 since driving a 996 GT3 a few months ago. I can only imagine how much better the 997 GT3 must be. The look is a lot meaner than the older GT3 for sure.

KIngtut: which development did you put a deposit on? Who is the builder.

I stopped by the dealer today and test drove a "regular" 997 Carrera, and I am sorry, but I would not trade my 996 (shown in a corner of the pic posted above) for it.

My buddy had to bring his car in because of some noise on the rear right part of the car. I saw some wrenches turned in the area and all is well. He is off to the local races and I will be there watching him and his partne win the local championship in the ex RealTime racing Acuras I brought here a few years ago.

Now to replace my coolant expansion tank

i forgot the name i gotta ask my wife or mom but its to the far end of the coast there is not another complex near there. ill get the name later... my wifes cousin was telling me that the owner of the ferrari dealership owns a 11k sq ft. apt? which means he bought the whole floor? wow!

i cant wait to get back there this summer. i hope the govt can fix the street sign problem. everybody else seems to get around ok but me. i can get around downtown. and i can find costa azul resturant for breakfast but thats it.
there are no street names so navigation is worthless
