This is going to be a loooooong wait until I can finally drive it!!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am not a big fan of the alcantara on the console lid and gear shift boot. I asked the salesman if it was possible to order these parts separately in black leather, since they are available on the other 997s, but he said it was not possible! According to him, the shifter comes as one single part and it is not possible to replace the alcantara boot with leather. That sounds a bit strange. Can anybody confirm or give me the parts number info to place that order?? Thanks!

Delivery should be about 2 months from production date, if all goes well. According to the dealer, there is no delay in production; so we are talking mid-april! I litterally cannot wait!

Your salesman is correct there is no way to order the shifter in anything other than alcantara from the factory. I guess you could order the leather boot after the fact but from the factory it is not possible.
