I don't understand the "marquis versus marquis" thing. People should decide what attributes they are looking for in a sports car, then shop around until they find the one that best fits the bill. Someone could easily buy a sports car based on a single attribute...like performance, but because someone has a list of attributes longer than just *one thing* doesn't mean they are buying an inferior car. Especially when the car's performance markers may be only SLIGHTLY below some of the performance markers of another car.

I couldn't care less that the C6Z is better in performance than my Porsche...the Vette fell way short in all the other things that are important to me. Do I care that my Porsche cost more than the Vette? No...because what I paid was required to get the "package" I wanted...no other manufacturer offered what I was looking for.

There is no one "best" sports car. It would be foolish to think that everyone should like the exact same things in a sports car - but there are people that appear to think just that.

aw hell...another Z06 thread...why can we just not give this up.....yes the Z06 has steller peformance, yes it is a huge bang for the buck. However, we all picked the porsches for a reason, it offers the full package we wanted. Everyone has opinions on what they want out of a car and they buy what makes them happy with what they can afford. I looked at a C6 Z06 before buying my GT3 and gave it some thought. First off i am a porsche guy at heart, second off there is something for me about porsche, maybe that it is always the full package, maybe the heritage, maybe all the little things they do to make it that much better on the track, who knows, i bought the porsche cause its what made mehappy. These arguements get so old...This is a porsche forum 99% of us would take a 997 GT3 over a Z06 and anyone trying to convince us otherwise is nuts...

I would highly recommend getting them both. I don't think you could go wrong with that decision.

I think the marquis vs marquis comes in where people want to race which a large number of sports car fanatics want to do at some point whether it's street or track or just occasional passers by on the highway.

You are absolutely right that there is no best sports car because no manufacturer can meet the needs of every consumer if not for the reason that each manufacturer has people who hate their products. The list goes on from there.

Like I said nothing wrong with comparing elite cars but you have to draw the line somewhere.

What if you buy a regular Space Shuttle and then send it to EVO to get it modified...? Then you would have a faster Space Shuttle.
