GT3 at Newport Auto Center...

Well I got a call from the sales lady for a GT3 that they just received. Original MSRP of 131K, they are asking 159K for it. WOW.

Tell them to keep it. It's not worth that 28K over sticker. I wouldn't pay $1 over invoice. They're crazy. The new GT3's are much more common now and can be had for invoice.

Invoice or MSRP? What does the invoice run on a base GT3 with no options?

The funny thing is, the GT3's are really not much less rare than an RS. I think in the US so far it is about a 2:1 delivery ratio. It's not like 10:1 or anything

SORRY, I MEANT MSRP. I get heated up when I see crap like that. They can charge whatever they want, it's a free market system, just don't expect me or any other informed buyer to deal with you now or in the future.

What they ask and what they get are two different things - although I would not even entertain them with an offer but the reality is someone will pay over in that area. If you have the means and you really want the car.......

I bought my RS from them at MSRP. They sell all ordered cars at MSRP. If one comes in and does not sell or they buy back they sell at market, can't blame them for that. As a customer of theirs they have been great to deal with.

I saw the all black GT3 in Newport Auto yesterday morning. Call me **** but the car has swirl marks and spiderwebs all over it. Kinda sorta ticked me off that a car of that caliber already has it's paint butchered like that. Certainly a bargaining chip for any of you perspective buyers out there.
Awesome car no less, but whoever buys it should have to have Moe goto work on it.
