Finally getting a Porsche. advice please
Finally getting a Porsche. advice please
Today I decided, dammit, I work hard, I've served our country, I was smart with my money, I bought a house, and I'm finally getting that Porsche I've always wanted; but you don't care about any of that. Here's the situation.
I want a GT3 seemingly like so many of you. I've read GT3s have limited (~100) production for '08 after a fairly small delivery in '07. So, what should I do. (SEARCH NOOB!)
The thought of paying over MSRP for a used GT3 irks me, I'd like to avoid that scenario at all cost. I presume my best bet is to try to get on a dealer list, correct? Is this still possible at this point? I know with money anything is possible, but I'd rather get my name on a list by placing a sizable deposit. Am I in dreamland?
Thanks and hello I suppose --MER

I think you would be hard pressed to find an allocation at MSRP. Check your local dealers, and have the cash ready to place a deposit. Get it IN WRITING that by placing the deposit, the dealer agrees to sell you the car for a set price. Also, make sure that the dealer actually has the car and isn't playing the allocation game.

the local dealer totally played me.
even thought it'll be hard,
it won't be impossible.
i do think however, that at this point
it'll be very hard to find one at msrp or
build a car with the exact options you want.
good luck.
