Talking How many GT3 and RS ? + new Roll Bar

I was in Sonnen and they were prepping new White GT3 RS, They sold it at sticker to a good custumer who had put a deposit up two years ago in anticipation of an RS. The sticker was $153 k as it had Ceramics also Black wheels and decals (they come pure but - -). Salesman said there were about 500 GT3 imported this year and about 160 RS and next year it will be about 150 and 60 respectively. That will certainly keep the prices in the stratosphere.
theracersgroup.com in Petaluma ask for Larry, "TRG" of GrandAm fame just put Roll Bar in and I am getting only one seat OMP and 6 point belts so that the airbags will still work and my wife will be comfortable. I am also putting screens on as my radiators are getting dinged. I had them check my set up that Sonnen (Rick Mgr. and Danny very savy Brit. tech.did) and they felt it was about as far as I could go and still have a decent driver. Weight Distribution was good also. They do beautiful work at TRG and i can get the dogs in the back. Putting on new Cups (heat cycled but not shaved) as 4700 miles since new and 5 trackings peeled them. I feel very fortunate to have the GT3.

The numbers I heard were 229 total RS's for 07' and 60 for 08' The GT3 is a different animal and I would bet the total production will be 4 or 5 times that for the world and maybe more.

Those are US numbers for RS? I think GT3 production for world in 07 is between 1000 and 2000 cars. The point is 08 production for both cars is going to be low and that will keep prices up on both. . The RS is the collector car but the GT3's do ok in holding value.
I drive them and sell them so the RS premium is too much for me. I paid slightly over sticker for my GT3 with 800 miles on it but it had ceramics which are great at the track.

Angry The REAL 2007 997 GT3 and RS Numbers!

I was just at the Stuggart Factory last month picking up my GT3 RS. It was an August production car classified as the '08 model. The answers I got from asking "How many GT3s and RS do you make in a year?" are the followings:

1. Factory closes 4 weeks/yr
2. Factory opens 5 days/wk
3. Each day they make approx. 160 cars
4. About every 8 cars is a GT3
5. About every 20 cars is a GT3 RS

So there are the equations:
GT3s- 48 wks x 5 days x 160 cars / 8 GT3s = 4800 GT3s
GT3 RS- 48 wks x 5 days x 160 cars / 20 GT3 RS = 1920 GT3 RS

I guess we all thought RS are one of a kind and rare uh!!!!!! The above figures are just for 2007 production
