Need some advice for 997 GT2 deposit

I e-mailed my local Porsche dealer here in Dubai asking about the 997 GT2. He said they are receiving 12 cars in November this year, all of which have been booked. The dealer said I can place a deposit down incase one of the current spots get canceled.

Now, I don't plan on buying the car but will it be possible for me to make some money by placing a deposit and then trying to find a buyer?

Find a better way to make money. Surely there are opportunities in the UAE with higher returns.

Leave the Porsche scene right now. It is the people like you that have caused the dealerships to start charging above MSRP therefore causing Porsche prices to escalate exponentially. Buy the car to drive and enjoy it, if you're just going to flip it, leave it to somebody who will actually use it.

I couldn't agree with you more. Please leave the porsche community now! There a lot of other ways to make money, but flipping porsches shouldn't be one of them. Leave the car to somebody who actually wants it.

What a ******...That being said, I have a hard time believing any one dealer would get 12 in November.

Well we ARE talking about Dubai- the money capital of the world. That doesn't seem far fetched to me.

I agree leave Porsche products alone, all you're doing is ruining the market. Take an economics class and you'll understand what I mean.

12 in the same month? Considering even Scottsdale Porsche which is one of the US's largest dealers does not know their allocation yet but is expecting only 2 it sounds far fetched.
