Just brought my car in to the dealer to have them check out some things on the car, and the on going TPC system, and I also got a small screw in the front right tire.

Unfortunatley the service dept said the screw is too close to the sidewall and the tire has to be replaced!! This sucks because the car is only 3 weeks old and only has 7xx miles on it. They said it was going to be $495 installed. Wow, these tires are expensive, sorry, just had to vent because I'm a little peeved. Oh well, not much I can do about it.

But I'll keep you guys posted on what the they said about the TPC.

I had a similar experience. I lost one of my rears due to a bolt/nail/screw. Since whatever put the hole in my tire did not stay in the tire, it went completely flat. I was lucky to have an extra wheel from my other 997 to use to get it home.

Anyway, I found out that the Pirelli's were going to take 3+ weeks to get. I also needed to order two but you can't just replace one tire in the rear. So I ended up buying 4 new tires (MPSC's) about 1 week after having the car. Fun stuff, heh?? ;-)

 

thats really bad luck. makes my situation seem like no big deal
