2008 GT3 Allocations

I know that 2008 allocations for the GT3 are scarce, but I would love to be able to order one. If anyone has any information on a possible 2008 allocation or an available incoming car, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Good luck - I put a deposit for an 08 down in February. Didn't get an allocation so ordered a Turbo instead. At the end of the day probably a more sensible choice for me so not a huge bummer. Best of luck but with only 107 or whatnot for 08 and production ending in December you're likely to be out of luck.

At this stage you're probably looking at a markup over msrp or picking up a "slightly used" GT3. But I would still contact every dealer possible and be persistent, sooner or later an allocation will open up.
There are some buyers who have no idea what they are getting in to, other than the newest thing, they tire of the "newness" quickly. These types usually dump the car after a couple of months. Then there are some, even on this board, who go thru cars like underwear for a variety of reasons. These cars are typically very well cared for and have a known history. Then you have the freakin speculators who buy and flip, or try to flip, for a profit. They usually float to the surface when the cash call comes, and they can't cover. So another, albeit unpredictable, source of cars.
Good hunting!
Or just get a Turbo!!

So, it is confirmed that they are discontinuing the GT3 after the MY08? Anyone know what they are planning on replacing it with, if anything?

Thats what I'm leaning towards now, just wondering about the availability although from what I hear it shouldn't be a problem to order one.

German Members on another Porsche forum have heard that there will be an 09 Mk2 GT3 with more horsepower. They've been pretty spot on in the past.

Take a look here.

I'm also interested in a low option GT3 or open allocation @ MSRP. If anyone hears of one, please let me know.

That's the reason GT 350 and I posted here. There is a good chance that a member here will either not take delivery of a car ordered or know of one that is available. I'm pretty confident I'll be able to find what I'm looking for.

I was visiting my Porsche dealer a few days ago and he had a silver/gray GT3 available. It is used with 4000 miles, but still at MSRP. PM me if interested. I can pass on contact info.

If you are seriously interested, I suggest you look up Porsche dealers on the web and start calling, and get you on a "interest" list for any deals that may fall out. I did this back in July. I know the situation is diff. now with premiums being asked, but it's worth a shot. Good luck.
