car numbers for the track

I usually put the numbers on my door with blue painters tape but I have seen some people put on pre-cut numbers, so I got some. But I see them spray something on the door before they stick the numbers on, I'm guessing it's so the numbers come off easier after the day is over???

Does anyone know what they are spraying on it so I can get some?

Thanks!

i think they're static cling signs...they spray some water to clean up the surface so they stick better

If you want them to be removable use magnetic, plenty of places like Performance sells them. Tip...use some racers tape on the leading edge or your expensive new numbers will blow right off the car at speed.

Some of the newer cars - 7Gt3 and 7tt use alu doors and hoods. Magnetic won't work

Most use windex which allows the bubbles to escape plus you can move the stickers a little in case they are off
