You can get the plugs from www.clubplug.net - the manual recommends the Champion QC59YC, and they have them for $11.49 each.

... Costco (at least my local one) fills their tires with Nitrogen.

Bizarre that all of those fluids (diff, brakes) need to be flushed at 3800 miles. But then again this isn't a normal car.

What is "fuel induction service"? My guess it's just a bottle of Sea-Foam or something equivalent put through the breather valve or strait into the gas that cleans the injectors, filter, and rest of the fuel system. If this is what it is, I pay $15 to Sea-Foam my oil and gas 1x/year. Interested to hear what this is.

DiMisa, is this yours? If so, congrats! Pictures.

Quote: I charge customers $125 on a one piece wheel for minor repairs and hard-baked finish.

My 2 Callisto rims were toast after a day of spirited driving in my G, and the dealer (SVAG, Los Gatos, CA) quoted me a "passthrough" (i.e. no markup from them) price of around $100 / wheel for 2 wheels.

At the end they did not charge me anything - in order to make up for a few warranty-related issues I was having on my car.

ended up just servicing the filters (about 500 bucks), fixing rim (convenience factor outweighed 100 to 80 bucks in savings)...

the guys at the local dealership were very cool, took off shop fee, discounted parts...

however, they did fu*ck me on the delivery (flat bed) back to house. wasn't able (no time) to pick it up, dealer is very far from house.

case closed. thanks for the input, guys

Not to pour salt on a wound, but how bad are we talking here? Given their service prices I can only imagine how bad the delivery must be.

Quote: the car was in for a check engine light that came on...while it was there getting worked on for free (under warranty) I assume the guys at the local dealer (won't mention name) wanted to make a profit out of it.

what i did was have them repair the curb rash on the wheel, and i paid the piper for the oil change and the filter. he did give me a small discount, and offered to discount the rest of the work as well.

i decided to politely decline.

thanks for the input, guys...
If you need it, I have the number for the guy that repairs all the wheels for Braman and many other dealerships in town. He is amazing, and fairly inexpensive. Send me a PM if you want it.

Quote: 2006 G Spyder with 3800 miles, is at local dealer for a check engine light (warranty work). While it's there, the service rep has also suggested the below listed work:

Oil & Filter change $534.00
Rear Differential fluid flush & replace $405.00
Brake Fluid flush & replace $298.00
Fuel induction service $327.00
Nitrogen for tires $120.00
Sparkplugs (fouled) $1102.00
R/front rim repair $250.00

Total $3036.00 + tax & shop charges ($50.00)

Any thoughts, on pricing, etc.?
The quote is a rape job.

I just had my gallardo in for an oil/filter change and a very complete PPI at Lambo of Denver. JPEG's provide on a CD of the PPI and so. It was $334.

I do the transaxle myself and it is a 15 minute job. If the plugs are fouled it's been driven very hard or there is another issue. A brake flush is .5 hr labor and maybe $30 for good fluid. If the fuel induction service is cleaning the throttle bodies that might play at 1.5 hours.

In summary, I can't make any sense of the quote. My G has been one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned.

The stupid thing is that fluids perform so well now a days you would probably never ever need to change them in reality. Serious. Not that an exotic owner wouldn't...just saying...
