Looking for '05/06 Orange Gallardo under $150k, any leads?

Just got things all set up today for getting the car. Any suggestions on who to work through for getting this car? Anyone know of any private party sales on an orange one in great condition? Thanks in advance.

Wait until the LP560's are out and the 06 will easily be in reach for under $150K. The question is what will the new ones be selling for? The list is $201K, and that is with a 3 year unlimited warranty, and they are gorgeous, and the early reports are 0-60 in 3.4. If all this is true, maybe you find another $50K in the couch and get the new one...good luck, I'm in the same situation, buy the 06 or the 09...

I agree, the worst thing you can do is buy a used car right before its revamped body releases. If your budget is $150k and below, then my recommendation would be to wait. Otherwise, I would try to swoop up the new LP560 when its available (like said above).

I don't think the revamp will affect used prices all that much. He's looking for an 05-06, which is 3-4 model years old. I am willing to bet the 560 might end up going for over msrp for awhile. The guys looking for used Gallardos are not the same people who will buy a 560. The 996TT market has held pretty steady since the 997TT came out, if that's any indication.

What if the LP560 comes out at a higher price than $200k? The pricing hasn't been released yet, right? If they come out at $200k I can see the 05/06 dropping but if they for some reason decide to bump to $220 and also limit production then it won't affect much. Seems like the 05/06 have already dropped a bit so maybe that already factors in the LP560 announcement?

once the lp560 comes out the older gallardos will get slammed. even if they've already lost value there's always that 3-4 month initial knee-jerk reaction to a new car being introduced.

AKA the perfect time to buy your Gallardo, IMO. I would wait, you'll appreciate the savings. When is the LP560 suppose to be available anyways, anyone know? I can't get over the fact that it looks so much like an R8 from the rear. Still a hot revamp nonetheless.

Price has been released. Base price is now $198K, with options, most cars will be around $225K to $250K.

they're already out but not readily available. in another 3-4 months they'll be all over the affluent areas. seriously if you're looking for a gallardo wait till fall. the lp560 will be out and winter will be coming for half the US.

Really? I haven seen speculation about it but no dealers I've talked to have had pricing info on it yet. Where did you find out it was $198k?

On the other point of waiting 3 months, I can understand that one. Once it hits Sept it will be post-summer and have people selling their cars. 'Course, thats always the case. With being up here in the northwest I'd then be tempted to just wait until next year as summer would be over here anyways kinda like computers - they always get cheaper.

I was able to pick up an order form about a month ago from my Lambo dealer. It list all option and pricing for the new 09 MY G. You should be able to get a copy from your dealer if you ask I think.
