Lamborghini has sent a press release saying this:

We welcome you to the Lamborghini stand on press days, 2 and 3 of October.

They have already released an image of the exhaust of the new model, which is attached in this post.

 

I caught that in my email earlier, ran straight to the media site hoping for some more info and nada.

 

Probably just the replacement for the LP640.

I was thinking about Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder. Or maybe LP560-4 Superleggera because of the carbon fiber under the exhaust, but it might be too soon to be released.

What is with the LP640 SV? It is time for the racing version.... but looks like from another world.

I've been thinking again and it could not be a Gallardo because of the position of the exhaust. As master_jcp says, it might be Murcielago SV.

 

Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann specifically said there would be no SUV.

I would be very disappointed if this were to be a sedan. My guess would be that it is a successor to the Murcielago based on the Reventon design language. Whatever it is, I'll definitely be checking back on October 1st.

 

I'm guessing it's the LP640 SV. There was talk about Lambo releasing this car as a last hurrah for the Murcielago chassis before a completely new model comes about.
