Opinions please.

I'm considering a Gallardo, either the SL or Spyder. What are the pros and cons of the SL vs the regular Gallardo. And, what are the pros and cons of a hard top vs convertible? Thanks for the opinions.

All three very different cars. First off you will need to decide if you want a convertible or not? The G Spider is a little smaller interior than a coupe. The seat doesn't go back as far I think only an inch though.

Coupes - G Vs. SL

The SL is a much better car IMO. Much better shift times than regular G, just as comfortable, faster and lighter. They also are much lower production car and will hold value better. IMO they look much better. I would opt for on with the wing and the CCB's thogh as that is the one that most people will want to buy.

It is all up to you but I would suggest driving all three first. Great time to buy and good luck

The SL is a great car but it rides much harsher than the regular G. If you are going to track the car quite a bit this might be the best option. If you plan to drive it get a G Spider or coupe.

Thanks for the replies. Any opinions on the 560 compared with the SL and G?

I'm looking for the straightline speed to replace my Rennteched MBZ SL65 and the handling of a canyon runner. Although I haven't tracked my SL65, I'll probably track the Gallardo now and then, but for the most part I'll run it in the canyons.

I had a regular 07 coupe and made the switch to an SL.
It was worth every penny. If your buying a coupe...buy the SL!!

One thing to consider is how much you are going to drive. The SL's interior is amazingly beautiful, but I don't think it will hold up very nice as a daily driver. The entire interior is covered in alcantara and the carbon fiber scratches really easy, from what I noticed. But its the interior of the SL, that made me choose it over any other of the G's, I love it!

Based on your goals, the SL without a doubt. Great straight line acceleration, excellent performance suspension and a great buy at today's prices. The 560 is also a great option but softer suspension. The interior in the SL is by far the best.
