For people who never track their car, is this a waste of money when purchasing a car?

I hear replacement for this is a $20k?

How often do they need to be replace? 40k miles?
Also is the 20k figure correct?

for the simple fact of having the best of the best and just trying out stuff most other cars don't have they would affect my buying decision. why bother if your going to half *** it?

 

when I was looking for my SL I would only with CCB's!

 

plus CCBs should help with with resale. certainly something id look at when buying

 

Not sure about the Gallardo or the Murci, but most of the CCB brake options I'm aware of last far longer than their steel counterparts.

The service life on the CCB's for my car is 100K miles... I wouldn't think that the Lamborghini's would be anything less.
On the other side of that, I know that the steel brakes are only good for about 25K before they're in need of replacement.

 

I opted for CCB's because my LP was gonna be in my collection for a long time . Looks great and inspires confidence when you push the LP a bit.

 

I have CCB's on my Spyder..and love em! You'll never have to change them as long as you own the car.
When driving around town it takes a little while to get used to them. They're very sensitive.

I heard that CCB's will be standard equipment on 2011 Gallardo's.

Nope..Different Pads.
One other nice thing about CCB's is there's zero brake dust

Before ill buy with my next Gallardo, Ill wait until someone has 15-20k or so on them and find out how long the pads last..the pads are very pricey.....and if im not doing any track time I dont really need them...

 

Set of front Pads are ~$800.00 (not that much more than regular pads).

I paid $250 for my front pads.....and a set of CCB rotors aren't run around $15k?

 

IMO $800.00 is still a bargain..Regarding the CC rotor's you'll never have to replace them.

 

I like the CCB's. I pln on getting them on my Murci when the rotors need changing.
