Personally for me the Murci is a bit too much, and I hear they arent built as well as the G...but I love the scissor doors. Perhaps Ill get a Diablo or something some day to compliment my normal doored G :-)

Or what about an conversion that some shops do to give it the scissor doors. That's what I was thinking if I got a G. I saw a Lotus Elise or Exige that had it done and it looked very good.

Ughh....dont convert to scissor doors thats really tacky.
You're doing the right thing to wait at least 6 months. When winter hits the 04/05's will be in the 70s maybe 60s, while the 06 will be in the high 90s. 08s in the 110-120 range

Agreed - scissor doors have to be built from the factory that way, anything else is pretty weak and never works the way they are really supposed to.

As for seeing 06s and 07s under 100k and 08s with 1year+ of warranty left for <120k within the next 6 months is pretty wishful thinking...but anything can happen I suppose.

its funny to hear those who say. Ive seen 04's go for in 70's. Sure maybe one or two did, but that doesnt mean the car was any good. If you test drove it, had a PPI done, etc. a discovery would show the reason why someone would let the car go on the cheap. There are some motivated sellers out there that lost their job and have kept a clean car, but this is few and far between.

If you have money in hand, go searching, you will find out that just finding a clean car with no issues is a chore. Took me 6 months, and I too thought since Ive seen some listed for what seemed like a great deal. If you can be happy with a car with some history, then sure, you will get a deal. Find a perfect pre-own G, expect to pay what these cars are worth.

Lets hear from actual buyers.. Tell us what kind of deal you got when you actually make the purchase. Too many guys throwing out numbers that arent even in the market.

Agreed. Even when I bought mine I heard from guys that they were worth X or to not pay more than Y - but ultimately to find the 'right' car, it was fookin expensive.
Not sure where everyone is getting their crystal ball from, but there sure seem to be a lot of people predicting prices similar to an 02 996 for Lambos, and apparently it is about to happen next week :-)

WOW...do you sell stock with those predictions as well..??

Yea, go ahead and wait...and when it DOES not hit those prices..and you lost all the fun of operating the car...then you can always come back here and say

DANG should have back when...

PLUS 1000% I love the calls I get, telling me they can buy a 06 G car for $100K..my answer.. HELL buy it, and after you get and find that it is a POS, cause you get what you pay for...call me and you can buy the right car at the right price..to many tire kickers out there..AND they are kicking the tires with their bare feet cause they cant afford shoes as it is, let alone the car.

I'm seeing 06 Gallardos hovering near 100k. I think the prediction of sub 100k toward the end of this year is probably spot on:

$105K for a Plane Jane low optioned car in very high production # Yellow with after market wheels that I am sure have already if not soon will damage the VT drive...Yep snap it up and get what ya pay for..

I for one would not TOUCH a car that had after market in-correct size wheels mounted on to it even for 10 miles...so much damage can be done to the VT that wont show up till later and cost you dearly...

If it's it to good to be true, there is a reason for it...and remember YOU ARE buying it with OUT any warranty or guarantee's...so a seller can basically say what they want on E-Bay...and THEIR perfect may just be your POS ...thoughts to think on..

ANY seller can basically say what they want, on Ebay or anywhere. There is no denying that prices are coming down; one would be blind to think otherwise. Where the bottom is, however, who knows. Low mileage SE's are floating from 115k-120k, and SE's of course are well optioned cars. That seems to be the market price NOW for a 2006. Let's see what Q4 brings.
